<description><![CDATA[When I found myself in Coire Giubhsachan looking north and *up* to the bealach we should have come down to, my heart sank. But then the anger kicked in and, even though I practically crawled up Carn Mor Dearg and the Ben thinking if I haven&#039;t got the fuel I need I&#039;m just going to have to do it without, there&#039;s no way I was letting that late mistake deny me the round!]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Yes, a single pair of Wave Harriers (with my custom orthotics) and socks the whole way round (had spares available at the Dam but didn&#039;t take them), and not a mark on my feet! Both robust and comfortable (for me anyway), although not totally secure descending steep, wet grass (where it pays to edge them a bit so you&#039;re not just using the heels) or wet boulder fields (where nothing&#039;s going to be 100% secure).]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Congratulations Pete, Having taken 23 hours to do a Tranter Round and being mighty pleased with that (we used your Tranter article for some guidance) I can only imagine how tough a Ramsay must be. Its brilliant that you made it and hopefully your great report will inspire others to have a go - the hills these epics take place on are so good its criminal not to make the most of them!!

Well done again.

<description><![CDATA[Whilst still in Glen Affric without mobile phone and Internet
I got the news that you managed a sub 24 hour Ramsey. Top
Performance. Elite class. Well done!
And I agree with John, be careful with that &quot;never again&quot; phrase
:-)

<description><![CDATA[Brilliant Peter, really well done. On this sort of thing the statistics are meaningless, I suspect that only those who have travelled the ground will know just how hard a trip like this is. Andy]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Another report (from a supporter&#039;s perspective) by Gavin now up at the extravagantly-titled http://gavsultras.blogspot.com/2010/07/duggan-machine-does-it.html (!), with two new photos from there (team pic with Noel from start and Beinn na Lap) added here too (hope that&#039;s OK, Gav?).

Must also say how much it means to us to see that comment here from the man himself, so thanks again Charlie! Third and fourth completions of the year for Jon and me (after Bruce and Alan on 23 July), but looks like the four of us are the first to do it anti-clockwise since John Fleetwood in 2003 and still very much in the minority (now 12 of 59 finishers?) in taking your original direction. However, no laps of honour... please! ;-)]]></description>
